Why these materials exist
Built from my own revision, for learners who want to understand the UK with care
I studied for my master's and PhD in the UK, and have also worked and lived here. While preparing for the Life in the UK Test myself, I found that facts are much easier to remember when they are connected to history, institutions, places and everyday life. Rote memorisation is tiring; context gives the facts a picture to hang on. These bilingual materials grew out of that revision process, organised from my own study notes, for Chinese-speaking learners who are preparing for the test and who also want to understand the UK with care.
